After studying about our ancestors, Ellis Island and immigration, the fourth grade went on a trip to Ellis Island. We saw where the immigrants were processed, tested and checked for illnesses. During the trip we took pictures. After the trip to Ellis Island, the children chose pictures and wrote captions about highlights of the trip. We kids thought the trip was absolutely amazing!
